Who we are

Bhippi is made by Aayush Datta in India. "We" and "us" in this policy mean Bhippi. Questions about your data: support@bhippi.com.

What stays on your computer

Your footage, project files, renders and exports are stored only on your PC. API keys for AI providers are kept in the Windows Credential Manager on your PC. We cannot see any of these.

What we collect

Your account

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID. We record when you sign in, and when the app last checked in with your account.

Your license and PCs

Your license key and its type. For each PC where you activate Bhippi: a device identifier (a one-way hash, not your hardware serial), the PC's name, its Windows version, the Bhippi version, and when it was first and last seen. You can free a PC from your dashboard at any time.

Events and approximate location

When you visit bhippi.com, sign in, download Bhippi, activate a key, sign in to the app, open the app or update it, we record the event with your IP address, the approximate location worked out from it (country, region, city and rough coordinates), your time zone, your network provider and your browser or app details. We use this to keep accounts and keys secure, to count downloads and seats, and to understand where Bhippi is used.

Crash reports and feedback, only when you send them

Nothing is sent until you press Send. A report includes what you wrote and any rating, the errors Bhippi caught, the in-app Terminal log (which can include your prompts and the AI's replies), the latest part of Bhippi's log files, technical details (screen, project size and hardware), your PC's details and approximate location as above, and, if you leave it ticked, a screenshot of the Bhippi window. Folder paths in your user folder and anything that looks like a key or token are hidden before sending. A report saved while you were offline is sent the next time Bhippi starts.

Payments

When paid plans are open, payments are handled by Dodo Payments. We receive your name, email, the amount, currency, payment status and payment method type. We never receive or store your full card details.

Plugins

If you publish a plugin, we store its listing and versions with your account as its owner, and count how many times it is installed.

What goes to your AI provider

When you connect an AI provider (for example Anthropic, OpenAI or Google, through their app or an API key), Bhippi AI sends what it needs to plan and make the edit, such as your prompts, transcripts, preview frames and project details, directly from your PC to that provider. That data is covered by your provider's own terms and privacy policy, and we do not receive it. With a local model, it stays on your PC.

When you ask Bhippi to research online or download media, your PC contacts those websites directly.

Cookies and storage

bhippi.com uses one cookie to keep you signed in, and a short-lived cookie during Google sign-in. Your theme preference is saved in your browser. There are no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers and no analytics scripts.

How we use your data

• To create your account, issue and check your license, and let you manage your PCs.
• To deliver updates and keep the service secure, including stopping key sharing and abuse.
• To fix bugs and reply to your feedback.
• To understand, in total, how many people use Bhippi and where.

We do not sell your personal data, share it for advertising, or use your footage or projects for anything.

Who processes it for us

• Cloudflare hosts bhippi.com and stores the account database and app downloads.
• Google handles sign-in.
• Dodo Payments processes payments, when paid plans are open.

Cloudflare runs a global network, so your data may be processed outside your country.

How long we keep it

Account, license and PC records are kept while your account exists. Events, crash reports and feedback are kept for as long as they are useful to run and improve Bhippi. Ask us and we will delete your account and the data linked to it, except where the law requires us to keep a record, such as for payments.

Your choices

• Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or its deletion, by emailing support@bhippi.com.
• Free a PC, or sign out everywhere, from your dashboard.
• Choose not to send crash reports or feedback, or untick the screenshot when you do.
• Use a local AI model to keep everything on your PC.

Children

Bhippi is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app or by email.
