Bhippi is a video editor with an AI producer inside. It was made by someone who has spent more than ten years at the timeline, to take the slow parts off your hands without taking the edit away from you.
Why Bhippi exists
I have edited video and built motion graphics for more than a decade, including work on Hollywood and Bollywood films. I know this craft well, and I have relied on Adobe's tools for most of that time. They were good tools, and for years you could buy the software and keep it.
That changed. Today it is a monthly subscription, and the software keeps getting heavier with services bundled in that many editors never asked for. The ecosystem is built so that, once you are inside it, it is very hard to leave. I tried other editors, free and paid, and each one was missing something I needed every day.
So I started building my own. It began as a tool for my own work: a way to edit faster, and to work on several videos at the same time. I have been improving it a little at a time ever since, and Bhippi is the result.
What Bhippi is, and what it is not
Bhippi is not a "one prompt and you are done" toy. It is a real editor with a real, multi-track timeline, and an AI that works inside it with you. Give it a clear prompt and a capable AI provider, and it works remarkably well.
The hardest problem was smaller models. A video has to meet a standard, whichever model makes it, so Bhippi is designed so that smaller, cheaper and local models can understand the job and still produce a proper edit. Put your footage in the project folder, tell the AI what you want, and it gets to work.
- Learns from a reference. Give it a video you like. Bhippi studies it frame by frame, works out what it does, and rebuilds your video in a similar style with its built-in tools.
- Many harnesses, not one. Different jobs run through different harnesses, each built for that work, and all of them are designed to use as few tokens as possible.
- Goes and gets what it needs. A built-in research tool can search online, download videos and gather images and information for your project.
- Always yours to change. Everything the AI does lands on the timeline as clips and layers you can open, adjust or undo.

If something feels wrong, or you have an idea, tell me. You can send feedback or a bug report from inside the app, or email me, and it comes straight to me. I read every piece of feedback and every bug report, and the fixes go into the next update.
Bhippi also has a plugins section. Build your own plugins and use them inside the app, install plugins other people have made, or publish yours for everyone. It is a community program as much as it is software, so treat it as your own.
